 (ABSTRACT)

AIM:
The main aim of the project is to design “DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF VIDEO DETECTING AND RECORDING”.

COMPONENTS: 

                S3C2440 (ARM9), camera, Pen drive, touch screen.

EXISTING METHOD:

          In the existing system identifying a particular object or person based on the images stored inside the data base like the data stored inside the pen drive or memory card it has only the possibility of recording the videos and storing the videos inside the data base.
PROPOSED METHOD:
          A compact video processing system which deals with video detecting, compressing and recording is designed on ARM9 using Linux. And in order to find a balance among hardware resources (prime cost), processing speed, detecting performance, system stability and system reliability, we are developing this system by using S3C2440 controller and Linux. This system does automatic surveillance of an unattended area installed fixed video camera, which automatically detects and locates moving objects and records the video of the scene. And also it simultaneously records the video and stores the data inside the pen drive instead of using pen drive we can also store the data inside the memory card. The recorded video can be viewed on the touch screen monitor connected on it.

Target device:        ARM-9
Operating system: LINUX
APPLICATIONS: can used to identify the criminals and wanted persons easily.
ADVANTAGES: low cost, low power consumption and easy to use.
