NUMBER OF 1’S COUNTER

Aim: The main aim of this project is to detect the number of 1’s in the given input sequence.

DESCRIPTION:

            In this project we are going to implement a circuit in the FPGA, Which can count number of 1’s in an 8-bit input. The given input is stored in a register ,If it is 1 then count is incremented then finally count is displayed on LCD display .These detectors are widely used ,for example ,in image processing to detect things, like humans or tanks, in a digitized video image , or to detect specific spoken words in a digitized audio stream.  

REQUIRED COMPONENTS:

• FPGA
• XILINX ISE

• Knowledge on Digital design.
• Knowledge on VHDL programming.
